Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Xperia Z5, getting a global score of 82.1 against 77.6. Even though the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is extremely newer than the Xperia Z5, it is just a bit thicker and heavier. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version, providing the user lots of additional features.
The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little better pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a much greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
The Xperia Z5 has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with longer battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity.
Xperia Z5 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a camera in the back with a much higher resolution and a larger camera sensor shooting better quality pictures.
