Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi 12's 78.8 overall score. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi 12 has Android 12 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is a lot older and a little heavier than Xiaomi 12, it's construction is still a little thinner.

Xiaomi 12 has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3700mAh.
