The Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's 78.1 global score. Both of these phones come with Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Even though Galaxy A8 Star is heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it's a little bit thinner and newer.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy A8 Star, although it has a quite smaller display, a little worse screen pixel density and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920. Galaxy A8 Star counts with a better storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 400 GB.
