Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is slightly better than Galaxy A8 Star, with an 83.3 score against 82.1. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi 8 has the previous 10 version and Galaxy A8 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. Xiaomi Mi 8 is a just a little lighter phone than the Galaxy A8 Star, but both are equally thin.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star. Both have 8 processing cores and the same RAM memory amount. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a bit better screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a just a little better screen density.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a better memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Galaxy A8 Star shoots clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor which gives a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels and a bigger aperture to take better photography and videos in poorly lited situations.
Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.
