Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2's overall score of 77.5. The Galaxy A8 Star design has the same thickness than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it is a little lighter. Galaxy A8 Star counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater amount of pixels per inch of screen and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2220px.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with slightly more memory to install applications and games than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB against 400 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Galaxy A8 Star has a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5300mAh battery size. The Galaxy A8 Star shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a bigger camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality, a much higher 16 mega-pixels resolution back camera and a lot bigger aperture for better low-light photos and videos.
