Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Xiaomi Poco X2, having a global score of 82.1 against 79.3. Despite of the fact that the Galaxy A8 Star is older than Xiaomi Poco X2, it's body is just a bit lighter and thinner. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Poco X2 has Android 11, so it gives you lots of additional features.
Galaxy A8 Star and Xiaomi Poco X2 feature similar processors, both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Xiaomi Poco X2 features a screen that is just as good as the display in Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, although the Xiaomi Poco X2 also has a little bigger screen, a little bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a little bit better pixels number in each inch of screen.
Xiaomi Poco X2 captures way better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing images or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Poco X2 also counts with a camera with a much better resolution and a lot bigger sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Poco X2, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has an external SD slot that allows up to 400 GB. The Xiaomi Poco X2 counts with longer battery life than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
