The Galaxy A8 Star is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, having a global score of 82.1 against 75.7. Galaxy A8 Star's design is just a bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it is a bit heavier and was released 4 years before. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a bit bigger screen and a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen. The Galaxy A8 Star features a much powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.
