Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's 81.1 overall score. Although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, it's design is just a bit lighter and thinner. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has Android 10.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro count with very similar displays, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a little better pixels amount per inch of screen, a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a quite bigger screen. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with a little bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bit better performance than Galaxy A8 Star. Both have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM memory.
