Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's 79 general score. Despite of the fact that Galaxy A8 Star is older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, it's construction is a little lighter and thinner. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11, offering some nice extra features and optimized performance.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a processing unit that's just as good as Galaxy A8 Star's processing unit, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a screen that's just as good as the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star one, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a little bit higher screen pixel density, a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a little bit bigger display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a much better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor taking much better quality photographs and a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a bit more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with superior battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5020mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
