The Galaxy A80 has a global score of 84.9, which is slightly better than the Xperia XA2 Plus's general score of 78.6. Galaxy A80's construction is newer and just a bit thinner than Xperia XA2 Plus's, but it's a bit heavier. The Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a slightly better display than Galaxy A80, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater display density.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a greater memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A80, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 400 GB. The Xperia XA2 Plus has a CPU that is just as good as the Galaxy A80 one, and although the Xperia XA2 Plus has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
