Comparison review
Galaxy A80 is a bit better than Xperia XZ Premium, with a score of 84.9 against 79.8. The Galaxy A80 body is newer, but thicker and somewhat heavier than Xperia XZ Premium. Xperia XZ Premium features a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy A80, although it has 4 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Xperia XZ Premium features a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy A80, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher display density and a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy A80 takes just a bit better videos and photos than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A80 also has a camera with a much higher resolution and a larger sensor providing a better image quality.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has slightly more memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A80, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy A80 counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity against 3230mAh.
