The Galaxy A80 has an overall score of 84.9, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium's 82.2 score. Galaxy A80's design is newer, much thinner and just a little bit lighter than Xperia XZ2 Premium. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features an incredibly better screen than Galaxy A80, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a lot better display density.

Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A80, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Galaxy A80 captures a bit better photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Galaxy A80 also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better 48 megapixels resolution and a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality photos and videos.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy A80, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 400 GB. The Galaxy A80 has a bit superior battery life than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity.
