Google Pixel 2 has an overall score of 81.6, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 global score. Despite being the best phone in our current comparison, Google Pixel 2 is a somewhat heavier and thicker phone than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a little better performance than Google Pixel 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a little bit better looking screen than Google Pixel 2, although it has a quite smaller screen, a lot worse count of pixels in each display inch and a way worse 1280 x 720 resolution. The Google Pixel 2 features a very superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Google Pixel 2 has a much better battery performance than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 45 percent bigger battery size. The Google Pixel 2 features a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Google Pixel 2 also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light photography and video and a higher resolution back camera.
The Google Pixel 2 is not only the best phones in our comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper.
