Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 5s is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, with a score of 76.4 against 76.3. Xiaomi Mi 5s is a thicker and way heavier cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 5s has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with just a bit better looking display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px, a higher screen density and a little bit bigger display. Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy Alpha also counts with a graphics co-processor.
Xiaomi Mi 5s features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also has a bigger aperture to take better low-light photos.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it costs a bit more money than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Alpha. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Alpha, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
