Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has a much faster processing unit than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Motorola Edge 40 has a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, because it has a little better pixels amount per inch of display, a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a bit larger display.
Motorola Edge 40 counts with a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, because it has a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a much bigger aperture and a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels. Galaxy C9 Pro counts with a little bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a little better battery life than Galaxy C9 Pro, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
