Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a newer 5.0 version and Galaxy Core has Android 4.1 version. Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a bit heavier than the Galaxy Core, it's thinner and newer.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Core, because it has a lot better number of pixels per inch of screen, a lot better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a larger screen. The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with much more storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Core, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 120 GB more internal storage.
