Samsung Galaxy Core Review

Samsung Galaxy Core is a nice Android cellphone launched some years ago, in 2013, including a medium sized 4.3" display, a powerful Dual-Core processor clocking at 1.2 gigahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera.

This phone is much lighter than what you expect from a phone this size. The Core is incredibly thin and good-looking, being just 0.35" thick.

This cellphone is equipped with a very good 4.3 inches display with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look very good. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

Samsung decided to equip this cellphone with a powerful 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8625 chip and 1 GB of RAM. To help with graphic rendering, this cellphone also counts with an Adreno 203 GPU ticking at 245 MHz. A good advantage of this phone is its quite large 8 GB internal storage memory and an external SD slot, allowing you to store a couple hundred games and apps without any problem.

This phone includes WiFi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera. It also captures videos in 720x480 at 30 fps. In addition, the camera counts with some good characteristics like auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone features a 1800 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite low for a demanding phone like this. Samsung informs a stand by time of 500 hs and a talk time of 14 hs for this device.

The Samsung Galaxy Core also features a few interesting features as Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Samsung sells this phone for $ 245, which is very expensive for this kind of phone. It doesn't matter whether you will use it for work, are looking for a cellphone to mostly use social networks or need a cellphone for playing games, this phone is a very good choice for you.
