Samsung Galaxy E5 Review

Samsung Galaxy E5 is a very solid device launched back in the year 2015, including a good size 5 inches multi touch display, a high-tech Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1.2 gigahertz, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 5 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This phone is quite a compact phone, taking into account that it packs a 5 inches display and it has just 5.57" long and 2.76" wide. The E5 is extremely slim and comfortable, being just 0.29" thick. This phone feels much lighter than what you expect from a cellphone like this. Samsung made this cellphone in black, brown and white.

Samsung sells the Samsung Galaxy E5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 8916 chip, including an exceptional Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1200 MHz with a huge 1,5 GB of RAM. Graphic calculations generally eats a lot of processing time, so this cellphone also has an additional 450 megahertz Adreno 306 graphics processing unit to help the processor with those tasks. An interesting feature of this cellphone is its 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and an external memory slot, allowing the user to store hundreds of apps without worrying about space.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 5 megapixels front facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy E5 can also film videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also has a couple of good characteristics like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

The E5 includes a interesting 1280 x 720 (HD) 5" screen, which makes all photos and movies look great. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone offers WiFi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless router), HSPA+ 4G data connection, that is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone supports dual SIM to be able to to work with two different phone numbers at the same time.

This phone also includes a few nice features like Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The E5 uses a 2400 mAh amazing non-replaceable battery that provides the E5 an incredible battery life. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery is non-replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to lose capacity, while having 2400 mAh you will probably buy a new cellphone before that becomes an issue.

This phone might be a little overvalued considering it is sold for 165 dollars, while other similar cellphones cost less than that. The Samsung Galaxy E5 is probably the correct option for you if you need a work device, want this cellphone to play games, want a social phone or you love taking photographs.
