Samsung Galaxy Core Review

Samsung Galaxy Core is an interesting cellphone released in May 2013, which counts with a fast 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit, a 4.3 inches multi touch display, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. Let's take a closer sight of what this phone can give us.

Samsung decided to build this cellphone with a good performance Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1200 megahertz, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8625 chip with 1 GB of RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic intensive apps, the Core also uses a 245 MHz Adreno 203 GPU. A nice feature of this phone is its big 8 GB internal storage memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, which allows the user to store a couple hundred games and applications without any trouble.

This phone is just 0.35 inches thick, making its way into the thinnest phones podium. Samsung has made a very nice job making the Core as lightweight as 4.37 oz.

The Core features two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front side camera. It can also shoot 720x480 videos at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera counts with a couple of good characteristics like flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

Samsung designed this phone with a interesting 4.3" screen, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , giving this phone a very nice graphic quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone counts with Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a modem) and the fastest 3G data connection, over HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses two SIM cards to be able to to work with 2 different phone lines and even different carriers at the same time.

The Samsung Galaxy Core has a mid capacity 1800 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite poor for a consuming cellphone like this. Samsung says this phone has a talk time of 14 hs and a stand by time of 500 hs.

This phone also comes with a couple of nice features as Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Core is not very convinient considering it costs 245 dollars, and many similar phones cost a lot less than that. If you will use this cellphone majorly for internet broswing and social networks, are looking for a phone for work or want it to play games, you will probably be very happy with this phone.
