Sony Xperia E4g Review

Sony Xperia E4g is a fascinating Android cellphone, equipped with a very fast 1500 megahertz Quad-Core processor, a 4.7-inches multi-touch display, and 2 cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the shortest summary.

Sony did a very good job making the Sony Xperia E4g weight just 4.76 oz. While this cellphone is quite thin it's not as slim as many other phones you can find, with a thickness of 0.43 inches. This cellphone is a compact phone, given that it features a 4.7" screen and it is only 5.24" long. Sony offers this phone in two different colors: black and white.

Sony ships this phone with a high-tech 64 bits Quad-Core processor running at 1500 MHz, packed into the Mediatek MT6732 system chip and only 1 GB RAM which is a little bit low considering its powerful CPU. Helping with graphic intensive apps, it also counts with a 416 MHz ARM Mali-T760 MP2 graphics processing unit. The Sony Xperia E4g comes with an 8 GB quite big internal storage and an SD memory card expansion slot, which allows you to store a couple hundred games and applications without any problem.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. It can also shoot Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also counts with a lot of useful features: flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, digital image stabilization, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone has a very good 960 x 540 4.7-inches screen, which makes it hard to see the pixels in the screen. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Sony Xperia E4g includes wi-fi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G fast connectivity and also HSPA+ data connection, which is a lower speed 4G variation and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Sony Xperia E4g works with a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This cellphone also comes with a couple of useful characteristics as Bluetooth (4.1) and GPS Navigation, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone features a 2300 mAh huge Li-Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep this device running for several hours, although you may find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some heavy use. According to Sony, the Sony Xperia E4g has a reported 696 hours stand by time and a 12.2 hours talk time. An issue to evaluate is that the Sony Xperia E4g's battery isn't replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to last shorter, while with such a huge battery size you will probably replace this device before that becomes an issue.

Sony sells this phone for 129 dollars, which is not so cheap for comparing with other similar phones.
