Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has an overall score of 97.6, which is better than the Galaxy Note9's 87.1 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Fold's body is newer and thinner than Galaxy Note9's, although it is also heavier. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a bit better performance than Galaxy Note9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a little sharper display than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater amount of pixels per display inch and a bit higher 1440 x 2960 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Note9, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Note9 have extremely similar cameras, both have the same (4K) video quality, the same video frame rates, a same size camera sensor, a 12 megapixels resolution camera and a F1.5 aperture. Galaxy Fold has just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Note9, because it has a 10% larger battery size.
Although Galaxy Fold is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Note9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note9, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
