These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy S6 has a newer 5.0 version while Galaxy Grand has Android 4.2.2. The Samsung Galaxy S6 construction is a lot newer, thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy Grand.
