Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J1, with a 58.9 score against 57.9. Despite being the best cellphone in this comparison, we must highlight that it's also way older, heavier and a lot thicker. Both phones in this review include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 has 4.1.2 version while Samsung Galaxy J1 has Android 4.4.4 version.

Galaxy Xcover 2 counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy J1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 480, the Galaxy Xcover 2 also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Galaxy J1 and the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 have extremely similar processing units, and although the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 has more RAM and a graphics processor, they both have the same number of cores.

The Galaxy J1 has a much bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J1 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy J1 features a bit better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2, because it has a 1850mAh battery size.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Xcover 2. Both of them have the same 1280x720 video quality, a back camera with a 5 MP and the same video frame rate.
