The Galaxy A12 has an overall score of 80.3, which is better than Galaxy J5 (2017)'s 71.8 global score. The Galaxy A12 construction is notably newer, but noticeably heavier and somewhat thicker than the Galaxy J5 (2017). Galaxy A12 features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy A12 also has a larger amount of RAM.
