Galaxy M31s is much better than Galaxy J7 (2017), having an 88 score against 73.5. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy M31s has the previous 11 version and Galaxy J7 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy M31s design is much newer than the Galaxy J7 (2017)'s, but it is thicker and somewhat heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s counts with just a bit better looking display than Galaxy J7 (2017), because it has a bit greater pixel quantity per screen inch, a larger screen and a quite better 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy M31s has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy J7 (2017), and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has 3 GB more RAM.
Galaxy M31s counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017), because it has an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB and more internal storage capacity. Galaxy M31s features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017), because it has a 67% more battery capacity.
Galaxy M31s counts with a way better camera than Galaxy J7 (2017), because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a lot higher resolution back-facing camera and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
