Comparison review
Apple iPhone XS Max has a general score of 84.5, which is much better than Galaxy J7 (2018)'s general score of 72.5. The Apple iPhone XS Max construction is somewhat thinner but somewhat heavier than Galaxy J7 (2018), and both of them were only released with a couple months difference. The Apple iPhone XS Max has a much sharper display than Galaxy J7 (2018), because it has a larger display, a way better 1242 x 2688 resolution and much more pixels per inch of display.
The Galaxy J7 (2018) features a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Apple iPhone XS Max, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 400 GB. IPhone XS Max counts with a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018), because although it has less processing cores , it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a 64-bits processor.
The iPhone XS Max takes much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018), because although it has a lesser MP resolution camera and a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low light images and video, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Galaxy J7 (2018) features a bit longer battery duration than Apple iPhone XS Max, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.
Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy J7 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy J7 (2018). If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy J7 (2018), and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
