Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has an older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Galaxy J7 Duo has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Xiaomi Mi 5s is a somewhat lighter cellphone than the Galaxy J7 Duo, but both are 0.32inches thick.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit superior CPU than Galaxy J7 Duo, although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), they both have a 4 GB RAM. Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a lot better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with much more pixels per inch of display and a lot better 1080 x 1920 resolution.
Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light captures and video and a lesser MP resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy J7 Duo, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.
