The Galaxy A8 Star is better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, getting an 82.1 score against 73.1. These phones use the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system, so both of them should offer the same OS features. Although Galaxy A8 Star and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star were released with only a couple months difference, Galaxy A8 Star's construction is somewhat thinner but also just a little bit heavier than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star.
