The Xiaomi Mi 5s has an overall score of 76.4, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy J7 Star's 73.1 score. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. Xiaomi Mi 5s's body is just a little thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy J7 Star, even though it was released about 22 months before.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a much sharper screen than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a way higher pixel count per screen inch. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has lesser cpu cores (although faster), it also counts with more RAM.
Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a slightly better memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Star counts with a little better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and a back facing camera with a lower resolution, it also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor and a much higher video quality.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy J7 Star. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5s, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy J7 Star, resigning some features and specs.
