Xperia 5 is slightly better than the Galaxy J8, with a global score of 81 against 76.7. Xperia 5 is a a little bit lighter device than the Galaxy J8, but they are 0.32inches thick. Sony Xperia 5 has a bit more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Xperia 5 features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has a little bigger display, a lot higher amount of pixels per screen inch and a way better 1080 x 2520 resolution. The Xperia 5 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a lot lower 12 megapixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video definition, a bigger camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and video in poorly lited environments.

The Xperia 5 has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy J8, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy J8 has a little better battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
