Sony Xperia XZ3 has an overall score of 79.6, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J8's 76.7 score. These phones use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia XZ3 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, giving some extra features. Even being the best device in this review, the Sony Xperia XZ3 is a somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier device than the Samsung Galaxy J8.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy J8. They have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J8, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Xperia XZ3 also has a lot higher 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a lot better pixels quantity per screen inch.
The Xperia XZ3 has a little bit more memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ3 also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB. Galaxy J8 counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 5% bigger battery size.
Xperia XZ3 counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, it also counts with a camera in the back with a better resolution, a way higher (4K) video resolution and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
