The Galaxy M30 has a general score of 82.4, which is a little bit better than Galaxy A12's 80.3 global score. Galaxy M30's design is lighter and just a little thinner than the Galaxy A12, despite of the fact that it was released just a little over a year before. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy M30 has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy A12 has Android 10 version, giving you a lot of extra features.
The Galaxy A12 features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy M30, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Samsung Galaxy M30 has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A12, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and more pixels per display inch.
Samsung Galaxy M30 has a slightly bigger storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A12, because although it has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB against 1 TB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy A12 takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy M30, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 counts with a battery life that is very similar to Samsung Galaxy M30's battery life.
