Comparison review
The Galaxy M30 has a global score of 82.4, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia 5's 81 general score. Galaxy M30 is a better device than Sony Xperia 5, we must note that it's also a a little heavier and a bit thicker device. The Xperia 5 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy M30, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a bit more pixels per inch of screen.
The Xperia 5 counts with a little better performance than Galaxy M30. Both have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processor. Xperia 5 and Galaxy M30 both feature really similar memory capacity to store more games and applications, both of them have exactly the same internal storage and an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB.
Sony Xperia 5 captures clearer videos and photos than Galaxy M30, because although it has a camera in the back with a lower resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better captures in low-light environments, a much higher (4K) video quality and a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Samsung Galaxy M30 counts with a much better battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
