Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Pro has a global score of 88.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy M31's 86.5 general score. Huawei P40 Pro's design has the same thickness than the Galaxy M31, but it is just a little heavier. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P40 Pro has the older 10 version and Galaxy M31 has Android 11.
The Huawei P40 Pro and Galaxy M31 both have very similar screens, although the Huawei P40 Pro also has a slightly better resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels, a little bigger display and a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy M31, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Galaxy M31 features a quite bigger storage to install applications and games than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB. The Huawei P40 Pro features just a bit better camera than Galaxy M31, because although it has a way less MP back facing camera, a worse video resolution and a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light photography, it also counts with a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Samsung Galaxy M31 has a way better battery duration than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has a 43% larger battery capacity.
