Samsung Galaxy M31s is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, having a score of 88 against 78.1. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy M31s has the previous 11 version and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Samsung Galaxy M31s design is way newer than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's, although it's thicker and a lot heavier.
Samsung Galaxy M31s has just a bit better performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 2 GB more RAM and more CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a bit sharper display than Galaxy M31s, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560px resolution and a better display density.
Samsung Galaxy M31s captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting photographs or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also counts with a much bigger sensor and a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
The Galaxy M31s counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB and 96 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy M31s features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 3600mAh.
