Comparison review
The Galaxy M31s has a score of 88, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8's 83.3 general score. Galaxy M31s's body is newer, but heavier and somewhat thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 8. Both devices we compare here have Android operating system, but Galaxy M31s has newer 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10, so it counts with a lot of extra features and performance enhancements.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy M31s. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy M31s, although it has a just a little worse pixels amount per display inch, a quite smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2248.
Galaxy M31s counts with a little bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Galaxy M31s takes a lot better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy M31s also has a camera in the back with a way better resolution and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Galaxy M31s has a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
