Comparison review
Galaxy M31s has a general score of 88, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's 81.1 score. Even though the Galaxy M31s and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro were only released with a couple months difference, the Galaxy M31s construction is just a little bit thicker but a bit lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both phones in our current comparison have Android operating system, but the Galaxy M31s has a more recent 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has Android 10, so it provides a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.
Galaxy M31s has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 2400, the Galaxy M31s also counts with a just a little higher pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with a CPU that is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy M31s one, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Galaxy M31s has a much better storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and although they both have a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB, the Galaxy M31s also has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's camera is very similar to Galaxy M31s's camera, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low light photography and videos, they both have the same back-facing camera sensor size, a 64 MP back facing camera, the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates.
Galaxy M31s counts with improved battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
