Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy M30s, having a overall score of 85 against 83.3. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy M40 has older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy M30s has Android 11 version. Although the Galaxy M40 and the Samsung Galaxy M30s were released with only a couple months difference, the Galaxy M40 is thinner and somewhat lighter.
Samsung Galaxy M30s has a display that's just as good as Samsung Galaxy M40's display, because although the Samsung Galaxy M30s has a little bit less pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a quite larger screen. The Galaxy M30s counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy M40, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy M30s has just a bit better camera than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M30s also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality videos and photographs and a camera in the back with a lot higher 48 mega pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy M30s, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has 128 GB internal storage. Galaxy M30s has a really longer battery life than Galaxy M40, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 3500mAh.
