Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a global score of 81.1, which is just a bit better than the Google Nexus 5's 74.7 score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Google Nexus 5 were only released with a couple months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 body is a little thinner but also notably heavier. Both phones we compare here come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has older 5.0 version while Google Nexus 5 has Android 5.1.

The Google Nexus 5 has a bit better looking display than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a bit greater pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has 48 GB more internal memory and an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB.

The Google Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 feature incredibly similar processing units, and although the Google Nexus 5 has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a 450 MHz graphics co-processor and a Quad-Core processor. Galaxy Note 3 takes better photographs and videos than Google Nexus 5, because it has a lot better video definition, a larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality, a way better 13 MP resolution camera in the back and a larger camera aperture to take better low light photos.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a much longer battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity against 2300mAh.

Galaxy Note 3 is a little more expensive than the Google Nexus 5, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
