The Apple iPhone 8 features a little better processing power than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor and 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with more cpu cores (although slower) and a 64 bits processing unit. IPhone 8 counts with a much better storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a much better battery life than iPhone 8, because it has a 3220mAh battery size. Apple iPhone 8 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has a worse video quality, a back facing camera with a lot worse 12 mega pixels resolution and a smaller back camera sensor shooting worse quality images, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low-light images.

Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Note 4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, letting go a couple specifications.
