Apple iPhone XS Max is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, having a global score of 84.5 against 81.6. The Apple iPhone XS Max construction is much newer and just a little bit thinner, but heavier than Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Apple iPhone XS Max counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores , a higher amount of RAM and a 64 bits CPU.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a slightly better looking screen than iPhone XS Max, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a little better amount of pixels in each inch of screen. IPhone XS Max takes a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has a much lower 12 mega-pixels resolution camera and a lower (4K) video quality, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and videos in low-light situations and a larger back camera sensor capturing better quality photographs and videos.
The Galaxy Note 4 features a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Apple iPhone XS Max, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 128 GB. The iPhone XS Max's battery duration is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 one, although the iPhone XS Max has a 1% lower battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note 4. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Note 4, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
