The Galaxy Note Edge has a general score of 81.7, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A40's overall score of 79.6. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note Edge has the previous 5.0 version while Galaxy A40 has Android 11. The Galaxy Note Edge is a older, just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier phone than Galaxy A40.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a bit more pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy Note Edge features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy A40, because although it has 1 GB less RAM and a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an additional GPU.

Galaxy A40 has a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB internal memory. The Galaxy A40 features just a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 3100mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.

The Galaxy Note Edge counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a much smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing photos or videos in low light environments, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 16 mega-pixels resolution, the Galaxy Note Edge also counts with a bigger camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos and a much higher video quality.
