Samsung Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Note Edge's overall score of 81.7. Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note Edge has Android 5.0, counting with a couple additional features and enhanced performance. Samsung Galaxy Note8's body is a lot newer than Galaxy Note Edge's, although it is just a little thicker and heavier.
The Galaxy Note Edge counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores , it also counts with a graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Note Edge features a better display than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better pixel count per inch of display.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a superior storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 3300mAh battery size.
The Galaxy Note Edge captures slightly better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor which gives a worse photo and video quality and a lot tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Galaxy Note Edge also counts with a camera with much more megapixels.
Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a bit more money than Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note Edge. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Note Edge, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
