Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Note Edge's score of 81.7. Sony Xperia 1's construction is noticeably newer and just a little bit thinner, but a little heavier than the Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia 1, although it has a little lower pixel amount per screen inch, a way worse 2560 x 1440 resolution and a little smaller screen.

The Xperia 1 features a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. Xperia 1 has a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has 128 GB internal memory and an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB.

Galaxy Note Edge counts with a slightly better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a way smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same sensor size and the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy Note Edge also counts with a camera in the back with way more mega pixels and better 30 frames per second video frame rate.

The Xperia 1 has just a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Note Edge. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Note Edge, letting go some specs and features.
