Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III is better than the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, having a general score of 93.3 against 81.7. Although the Sony Xperia 1 III is a bit heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, it's just a bit thinner and also notably newer. These devices include Android OS, but Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has Android 5.0, counting with a couple additional features and performance enhancements.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a bit more vivid screen than Xperia 1 III, although it has a little less pixels per display inch, a little bit smaller screen and a lot lower resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Sony Xperia 1 III has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1 TB and 224 GB more internal storage.
Xperia 1 III features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with 9 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The Sony Xperia 1 III captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a way less mega pixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a lot bigger sensor taking way higher quality videos and photographs and a lot bigger camera aperture to take better low-light images.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, resigning some specifications.
