Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a score of 78.7, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Note II's 74.8 general score. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a way newer cellphone, and it is also a bit lighter and somewhat thinner than the Galaxy Note II. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Galaxy Note II has Android 4.4.2.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has just a little better performance than Galaxy Note II, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and they are faster). Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note II, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a lot better pixel count per inch of display and a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a lot better camera than Galaxy Note II, because it has a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a back facing camera with a much better 12 megapixels resolution. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little bit better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has better battery performance than Galaxy Note II, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3100mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Note II, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note II. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Note II, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
