Samsung Galaxy Note II Review

Samsung Galaxy Note II is an absolutely great Android cellphone launched some years ago, in 2012, with a huge 5.5 inches multi touch screen, an exceptional 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 1.9 MP front side camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the starting point of a much deeper review.

This cellphone is powered by an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 1.6 gigahertz, included in a Samsung Exynos 4 (4412) system chip with a great 2 GB of RAM. Graphic intensive apps generally uses a lot of processor cycles, so this phone has an ARM Mali-400 MP4 GPU working at 266 megahertz to help with that calculations. A great advantage of this device is its inmense 64 GB internal storage memory and an external memory card slot, allowing you to install lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without even thinking about filling the phone.

The Note II is much lighter than what you would expect from a device this size. The Samsung Galaxy Note II is offerred in 3 color options, pink, blue and white. While this device only has 5.94 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 5.5 inches screen. This cellphone is extremely slim and good-looking, being just 0.37" thick.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.9 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It can also shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. In addition, the camera includes a few nice features like flash, auto-focus, smile detection shooting and fast burst mode.

This cellphone is equipped with a good level 5.5" screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, making everything look great. This screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone offers WiFi connection (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high performance internet connection and also HSPA+ internet connection, a bit slower 4G type and the fastest 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

This cellphone also comes with a wide range of useful characteristics such as Wireless charging compatibility, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This cellphone counts with an amazing 3100 mAh Li-Ion removable battery providing this cellphone an incredibly long battery duration. This cellphone has a reported talk time of 35 hs and a stand by time of 980 hs according to Samsung.

This phone might not be a great choice considering it is priced 215 dollars, and other similar cellphones can be found for less money.
