Xperia Z5 is slightly better than Galaxy Note II, having a score of 77.6 against 74.8. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Xperia Z5 has a newer 5.1 version and Galaxy Note II has Android 4.4.2. The Xperia Z5 is a way newer phone, and it is also thinner and lighter than Galaxy Note II.

The Xperia Z5 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because although it has a weaker graphics processing unit working at 450 MHz, it also counts with more RAM and a greater number of faster cores. Xperia Z5 features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a much better screen pixels density.

The Xperia Z5 counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because it has a much higher 23 mega pixels resolution back facing camera and a lot better 3840x2160 video definition. Galaxy Note II has a greater storage capacity for applications and games than Xperia Z5, because although it has an external SD slot that allows up to 64 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Xperia Z5, because it has 3100mAh of battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note II, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Note II. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note II, giving up some features and specifications.
