The Samsung Galaxy Note5 is slightly better than the Xperia XZ2, with a general score of 80.2 against 79.1. Samsung Galaxy Note5 is an noticeably older cellphone than Xperia XZ2, but Samsung managed to build it lighter and thinner. Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Note5, although it has a little bit worse screen pixels density and a lot lower resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, they both have a display of the same size.

The Xperia XZ2 has a way bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ2 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 400 GB. The Xperia XZ2 counts with a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note5. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.

The Xperia XZ2 captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy Note5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low light photos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a more mega-pixels back facing camera, a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and faster 60 fps video frame rate.

Xperia XZ2 has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Note5, because it has a 6 percent bigger battery capacity.
