Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge 50's overall score of 81.2. Despite being the best phone in this review, Samsung Galaxy Note8's construction is much older, just a little bit heavier and just a little thicker than the Motorola Edge 50. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Edge 50 has Android 14 version.

The Motorola Edge 50 counts with a little bit better screen than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little bit worse 1220 x 2712 resolution and a bit worse count of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a bit bigger screen. Galaxy Note8 counts with a very superior processing unit than Motorola Edge 50, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores.

The Motorola Edge 50 captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Edge 50 also counts with a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back-facing camera with a lot better 50 mega-pixels resolution.

The Motorola Edge 50 has a way bigger storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Motorola Edge 50 features a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
